Distribution
Under
the terms of the BookForce Online distribution contract,
publisher clients agree to:
nominate out of print ( or other ) titles and give approval
to Nielsen/Bowker
for
BookForce to be their nominated distributor
provide a default bookstore discount structure and exceptions
by store
supply files or hard copies of each title so that printable
files can be prepared
BookForce
Online opens up an account in the publishers name and
undertakes to:
upload approved discount structure
scan or prepare files supplied and upload to the online
system
check that Nielsen/Bowker have recorded the change of
distributor
advertise the change in industry press
Orders
can then be received:
electronically either direct or via teleordering
by phone/fax or e-mail
by manual entry by the publisher through their online
account
Orders
are printed and despatched by BookForce Online direct
to the customer according to agreed time schedules with
BookForce Online invoicing the bookstore direct
One
payment is made every month in arrears to the publisher
(on agreed terms) for the full value of the net sales
supplied less BookForce Online distribution and printing
fees
The
reports section on the online system provides real-time
data on sales with associated reports which can be tailored
for royalty calculations and other derived requirements.
Distribution
can be extended outside of the UK using BookForce 's overseas
partners in the US , Australia , Canada and Holland ,
subject to the necessary rights approvals.
