Copies
Most
publishers produce some combination of review copies,
blads and AIs to circulate to booksellers and reviewers
some months in advance of the title's publication date.
As
the manuscript may still be subject to final editing and
the print volumes low in comparison to the main print
run, it makes sense to produce this marketing material
by digital print as the turnaround times can be fast and
there is little or no setup required, making low digitally
produced runs much more cost effective than litho print
runs.
